Pride and Prejudice

1. I always want to read this famous novel of Jane Austen from the beginning to the end, but for various reasons, I never finish it.

2. I couldn't imagine how this movie would be like without the excellent acting of Keira Knightley. And of course, she's the reason why I can't wait to watch it.

3. When Mrs. Bennet and Lizzie's younger sisters were discussing about who married a richer man, I found this scene similar to those in HK's movies and TV dramas. Seems that "to marry a rich man" is always a popular topic for love stories.

4. There's a fight between Lizzie and her father on allowing Lydia to go to a ball. Mr. Bennet didn't really care about the future of Lydia, but he supported Lizzie when she rejected the proposal of her cousin. Lizzie apparently received much more love than her younger sisters.

5. Misunderstanding and prejudice appear to be more harmful than pride and arrogance in this movie. Maybe it simply because I couldn't feel the arrogance of Mr. Darcy.

False Accusation

Being accused of something I have not done by people I work for inevitably ruined my mood of the day. The best way to mend my mood at this moment is to immerse myself in the world of music.

想當年，因為他是同學的哥哥，看了他的(第一本?)小說"全職殺手"。現在，想不到他的電影可以在柏林展出。他選擇的題材，在香港影壇中可說是怪雞另類，就像"買凶拍人"和"AV"，但也正對上了我這怪人的胃口。

Power of Consumerism

An ordinary form 3 girl becomes an envy of her friends after she's offered a VIP card of VW. It really surprised me that luxury brands like VW and Burberry were so popular among them, and they couldn't wait to pour thousands or more dollars into the brands.

I'm not sure if it's good for her to keep this habit as long as she's happy with her trophies, but I'm sure the economy will benefit from people like her.

Cartoon War

Isn't it ludicrous for the European press to support the Danish newspaper by republishing the cartoon, in the name of defending Freedom of Speech? I can't see why a cartoon, which humiliates/insults muslim, can gain the full support from them. It seems that by using Freedom of Speech as the mighty shield, we shouldn't condemn any insulting act. To the contrary, we should support it to defend our freedom. Respect? Goto hell!

SC 10km

1. Overcrowded! 9000+ ppl flooded the road.
2. Fortunately I managed to squeeze to the head of the crowd.
3. It's a special experience to run with so many ppl.
4. One or two runners brought their tripod and DSLR camera with them, posing to take pictures in front of the West Harbour Tunnel.
5. A few couples held their hands whilst running... to celebrate V-day?!
6. I got stomachache after I passed the tunnel.
7. Muscular runners are not necessarily good runners.
8. Met some friends after the race.
9. The cheering team has done a really good job.
10. The bottleneck of the day was on the way from Golden Bauhinia to Wan Chai Stadium.

Sleepless

Can't sleep whilst my stomach is making strange noise. Hopefully I can finish the race in such a condition.

好飽

兩小時前吃了碟咖哩牛腩飯，不知何故現在仍飽到想睡也睡不了，明早怎樣四時爬起床...

有老人家說過，吃飯後不能抱怨說太飽，會折福。我相信此說源頭，是以前沒多少人能吃飽，抱怨太飽就像炫耀自己有飯吃，會招人嫉妒吧~~ 現在都市人只患吃過多，何患吃不飽?!

整體來說不錯，很久也沒有看過這麼好的港式武打。
戲中的日本武士，難得地不是凶狠邪惡，行事光明磊落，在這類"愛國"電影中難得一見。此舉是為了討好日本市場，還是單純的劇本改進?
